John Wayne
It seems a deep gap exists between past and new generations in the US. In the feminist culture class, students didn't know John Wayne (May 26, 1907 – June 11, 1979) and that made the proffesor go crazy!
She said " How can I teach you American culture while you don't know John Wayne."
It's amazing!

Sometimes I think John Wayne has left his mark all around the globe. If looked at, it is very obvious even in Iran's 60's pop culture.
interesting. its like us not knowing our own figures.
